Imogen Murphy is an Irish film and television drama director. She recently directed a feature-length episode of ITV’s primetime crime drama Grace, starring John Simm. Before that, she was lead director and executive producer on the thriller The Vanishing Triangle for Sundance Now and Virgin Media.

Imogen was nominated for a Best Director Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) Award for her work as lead director on the period mystery drama Dead Still, starring Michael Smiley. The series received seven additional IFTA nominations, including Best Drama, and was also nominated for a Royal Television Society Drama Award.

Her earlier television credits include directing all six episodes of the second season of Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope for RTÉ, BBC3, and Netflix, as well as directing blocks of Hollyoaks and Red Rock for Channel 4 and Amazon.

Her film work includes Cry Rosa, which earned her nominations from both the Royal Television Society and the Irish Film & Television Academy. Her short films have also won numerous international awards.

A graduate of the Irish National Film School (IADT), Imogen is a member of BAFTA, IFTA, Directors UK, and the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland.
