Imogen Murphy is an Irish film and television drama director. Recent work includes ITV primetime crime drama Grace starring John Simm, and thriller The Vanishing Triangle for Sundance Now and Virgin Media, on which she was lead director and executive producer.
Imogen was nominated for a Best Director Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) Award for her work as lead director on period mystery Dead Still, starring Michael Smiley. The series received seven additional IFTA nominations, and a Royal Television Society Best Drama nomination.
Earlier television credits include directing all six episodes of the second season of Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope for RTÉ, BBC3, and Netflix, as well as directing blocks of Hollyoaks and Red Rock for Channel 4 and Amazon.
Film work includes Cry Rosa, which earned her nominations from both the Royal Television Society and the Irish Film & Television Academy. Her short films have also won numerous international awards.
A graduate in Film at the Irish National Film School (IADT), and Philosophy (B.Phil) at Trinity College Dublin, Imogen is a member of BAFTA, IFTA, Directors UK, and the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland.
